Modern Slavery Act Statement

This statement, made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, sets out the approach taken by R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business, and the actions undertaken to mitigate any such risks during the financial year ended March 31, 2026.

R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited is a registered company providing products and services in relation to wholesale and retail hospitality. R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited has 116 employees and is headquartered in the UK. The labour supplied to R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited in pursuance of its operation is carried out in the UK, predominantly based in Lincolnshire with employees working across the East Midlands and surrounding regions.

Our supply chain consists of a small number of suppliers of raw materials, equipment and general business services both in the UK as well as internationally, including coffee producing countries across central and South America, Africa & Asia, together with equipment manufactures and other specialist suppliers based in Europe and elsewhere.

Our supply chain comprises suppliers of green coffee, packaging, coffee equipment, food & beverage products. Logistics & business services based in the UK and overseas. We recognise that many of our first-tier suppliers source products through their own global supply chains. As a result, we work with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical sourcing, responsible business practices and compliance with applicable labour and human rights legislation.

R.W. Stokes & Sons Ltd Directors are committed to delivering high standards of corporate governance and a key element of this is managing R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited in a socially responsible way. R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited aims to employ the highest ethical and professional standards and always to comply with all local laws and regulations applicable to our business; it follows that the organisation is absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities and its supply chains. R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited understands that this requires an ongoing review of its internal practices in relation to its labour force, its corporate activities and its supply chains.

R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. Where appropriate supplier agreements allow us to terminate relationships where there is evidence of modern slavery or a failure to address identified concerns.

No labour provided to the R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited in the pursuance of the provision of its own services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited strictly adheres to the minimum standards required in relation to its responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in the UK and in many cases exceeds those minimums in relation to its employees.

This commitment is emphasised in our employee induction and our policies. R.W. Stokes & Sons Ltd also expects the same high standards which we set for ourselves from those parties with whom we engage, such as our suppliers and customers.

Due to the nature of our business and our approach to governance, R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited assess that there is very low risk of slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. Nonetheless, it has taken steps to ensure that such practices do not take place in its business, nor the business of any organisation that supplies goods and/or services to it.

R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited carries out due diligence through:

Supplier onboarding questionnaires, supplier approval process, review of supplier policy and certificates where relevant, ongoing supplier relationship management, consideration of country and sector risk.

During the reporting period R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited has:

Reviewed and updated its Modern Slavery Statement, maintained policies covering ethical business conduct and whistle blowing, continued to develop responsible sourcing practices as part of its wider sustainability and governance programmes.

R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited has set the following key performance indicators to measure its effectiveness in ensuring modern slavery is not taking place in the organisation or its supply chains by:

Monitoring and investigation of any reported concerns, employee completion of induction and relevant policy training, review of suppliers identified as a higher risk, completion of supplier due diligence questionnaires.

R.W. Stokes & Sons Limited has a modern slavery compliance officer, to whom all concerns regarding modern slavery should be addressed, and who will then undertake relevant action with regard to the organisation’s obligations.

This statement will be reviewed for each financial year.
